Cecilia Abbamonte

Cecilia Abbamonte is a senior studying Engineering Physics. Her research interests include applying principles of Contextual Engineering to domestic projects and exploring how engineering needs can vary within the United States, particularly in rural areas. Her current research involves reverse engineering the infrastructure in the Village of Hopkins Park, Illinois, to understand where the original engineers went wrong and how the designs could have been more successful. She also hopes to expand the findings to apply to rural infrastructure projects across the United States.

Cecilia has also been involved in several international engineering projects, including water system design in Guatemala and Honduras.
